Featuring a built-in 1" standoff, this adjustable post base effectively prevents rot at the end of the post by elevating it above the concrete surface. The base includes a slotted anchor hole for enhanced adjustability, allowing precise alignment during installation. It can be attached to the post using either nails or Strong-Drive® SD Connector screws, providing a reliable and efficient solution. This post base is an ideal, cost-effective choice for securing posts firmly to the foundation and is versatile enough to accommodate various lumber sizes including double 2x, 4x4, 4x6, and 6x6, both nominal and rough. The innovative design also supports the installation of structural posts made from two 2x4 studs nailed together, as well as the attachment of double 2x beams to a footing for ground-level decks.
