The DTT2 tension ties are designed as safe, cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed building code requirements for deck construction. These versatile connectors are also load rated for use as holdowns in light-duty shearwalls and braced-wall panel applications. The DTT2 is specifically engineered to handle a 1,500 lb. lateral load connection at two locations per deck, making it ideal for critical structural requirements. It has also been tested and evaluated for deck guardrail post applications to resist lateral forces as specified by building codes. For enhanced load capacity, the DTT2 is available with longer 2 1/2" Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (model DTT2Z-SDS2.5). It installs easily on the wide face of single or double 2x members with the included SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws and accommodates a 1/2"-diameter bolt or anchor bolt, ensuring robust and reliable connections.
