Crown 240SGRAZW Razor Edge Bowl Gouge w/Side Grind, 1/4 in. The Razor Edge version of Crown's 1/4 inch Bowl Gouge with Side Grind. The Bowl Gouge is considered the "master tool" for bowl turners. It is used to produce either massive profiling cuts or delicate finishing cuts. The addition of a Side Grind, also known as a fingernail profile, permits use of the "pull" cut technique, as well as providing a greater cutting tip area to do heavy profiling cuts, and fine, delicate, shearing cuts.
Combining a sophisticated combination of Cobalt infused HSS with a cryogenic treatment, Razor Edge tools are designed to outperform all others in edge retention and performance.
