The Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener is specially designed to meet the professional's demand for effective sharpness, user friendliness, and efficient work flow. The simplicity and ease of use of this compact unit makes it easy to keep it close by. A few strokes on the Diamond and Composite wheels and then you are quickly back to meal prep with a fresh edge. You get the ultimate in quality and sharpness on all your culinary knives.

The built-in knife holding jig is an innovative guidance system (patent pending) that enables a professional sharpening every time. The resilient clamp steers the knife on both sides, making it easy to grind the whole bevel while still maintaining a constant angle against the grinding wheel. The Angle Guide for the jig is easy to mount to the Guide Bar and can be quickly set for angles of 8 to 22 degrees.

The T-2 Sharpener includes both a Diamond Sharpening Wheel and a Composite Honing Wheel. The fine-grained Diamond Wheel is optimized to provide both a high level of sharpness and efficient steel removal. It won't remove more steel than necessary. The Honing Wheel is used to remove the burr after sharpening on the Diamond Wheel. It is a composite material with the polishing abrasive right in it. This means adding honing compound to the wheel is not necessary, further making the process simpler and faster.

While Tormek is most well-known for their water-cooled grinders, the T-2 is dry grinder. There is no water to splash around, and the low speed ensures that your steel will not overheat. The wheel can be cleaned with soapy water and a nylon brush as needed.

The T-2 can accommodate knives 14 - 60 mm (5/16" - 2-3/8") wide, and up to 3.5 mm (3/32") thick and it includes a removable magnet for capturing debris. A sturdy built-in handle makes it easy to move the machine when needed. Machine is very quiet when running, so there will be no extra noise to add distraction to the kitchen.
