Sorby W447 Deluxe Universal Sharpening System. For turners who have a slow speed bench grinder, the Deluxe Universal Sharpening System is an ideal addition for sharpening fingernail profiled spindle and bowl gouges. Combining the best features of the Fingernail Profiler Jig and the Adjustable Platform, it is compact, flexible, solidly constructed, and easy to use. It takes all the guesswork out of returning tools to a more usable condition. And, as we know, sharp tools make work so much more of a pleasure, and take away a lot of frustrations.
The platform is height adjustable and can be used in conjunction with 6, 7, and 8 grinders. With the addition of an optional secondary table and some jigs, the system becomes even more versatile and useful, especially for square, rectangular, and skew tools. Optional items sold separately.
