The Makita LXT® 18V Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger Starter Pack includes (1) 4.0 Ah battery pack and a rapid optimum charger. The battery pack provides up to 35% more run time per charge compared to BL1830 and delivers consistent power even in extreme temperatures (-4°F/-20°C). Their sixteen contact terminals ensure a consistent connection with the tool in order to prevent power loss or fluctuations in applications that create a lot of vibration. With the rapid optimum charger, this 18V LXT® battery can reach a full charge in approximately 40 minutes or less. The shock-absorbing inner lining and impact-resistant outer case are designed to withstand even the toughest of jobsites. In addition, the battery has an integrated LED battery charge indicator. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, it is protected against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating while the built-in fan circulates and keeps the battery cool for faster charging. The charger is designed to optimize battery life by actively controlling the current, voltage and temperature. This kit is compatible with only Star Protection tools which are indicated by the Star Symbol™ and/or a yellow battery receiver under the tool. Makita 18V Li-Ion is the largest cordless tool line-up that is powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries.
