The Makita 18V LXT® Cordless 5-Inch Wet/Dry Masonry Saw features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers speed up to 8,800 RPM. It also has Automatic Speed Change™ technology that adjusts speed and torque in order to deliver optimal performance. The tool has an adjustable depth of cut capacity up to 1-9/16-inches at 90° and adjustable bevel cuts up to 45°. The tool’s integrated water delivery system is designed to continuously feed water (with flow adjustment) in order to meet OSHA Table 1 Compliance in masonry cutting applications. The electric brake enables user to quickly reposition the tool for max. performance while the soft start feature delivers smoother start-ups and longer life. For added convenience, the tool has integrated overload indicator alerts, built-in LED lights for illuminating the work surface, large spindle lock buttons for easier blade changes and on-board storage for hex wrenches. Integrated into the saw is Makita’s Auto-start Wireless System that utilizes Bluetooth® technology for wireless power-on/off communication between tool and dust extractor which is ideal for dry cutting (transmitter is sold separately).
