These 3" GuardDog® Exterior Wood Screws from Fastenmaster feature a TORX® ttap® Drive System that offers unmatched stick-fit and wobble-free installations. These versatile screws can be used for a variety of exterior wood applications such as in pressure-treated decking, railings, stair stringers, deck frame blocking, dimensional headers, pergolas and much more. These fasteners are fully tested and guaranteed in pressure treated lumber, cedar, redwood, and chemically treated lumber. For a clean, finished look, these screws offer nibs under the head and their UV resistant coating resists fading and chalking. GuardDog® screws are also easy to install. They have aggressive threads for strong holding power and a sharp, type 17 point that makes installation fast!
NOTE: A standard T25 TORX® driver bit can be used if needed.
Installation: Install (2) fasteners per deck-to-joist connection. Predrilling is recommended only when fastening within 1-1/2” of the end of a board or when using hardwoods.
