The Makita 18V LXT® Cordless 5" Random Orbit Sander features 3-speed settings that are engineered to deliver faster material removal and a one-touch electronic speed control. This sander is built with an ergonomic body and grip design to increase operator comfort while the through-the-pad dust collection system helps maintain a clean working environment. The sander’s large 1/8-inch random orbit action is designed to make sanding fast and deliver swirl-free finishes. It is also equipped with Makita’s Star Protection Computer Controls™ which is internal technology that protects the tool against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. This tool is compatible with Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries with a Star symbol (battery sold separately).
