These top notch bench chisels have the same high quality German Chrome Vanadium steel as found all MHG chisels, but with an ergonomic, "no-slip" 2 piece component handle. We found the feel and presence to be very impressive! Handle also has a metal striking cap where tapping with a chisel mallet may be necessary.
The polished blades are hardened to a Rockwell hardness (Rc) of 61. This level of hardness means they will retain their keen edge much longer than ordinary chisels. Though quite sharp right out of the box we do recommend honing first for best performance. Germany
