Product Description
The Sperry Instruments TempCheck™ Infrared Thermometer measures without contact. This tool is ideally used by contractors when testing electrical equipment like live wires because faulty installations can be lethal. This thermometer checks temperatures from -26 deg F to 716 deg F (-32 deg C to 380 deg C) and has a distance-to-spot ratio of 12:1. The distance-to-spot ratio is a rating used to state the distance (in feet) that the test unit should be from the target in order to measure a one-foot diameter section of the target. The unit also has a back-lit display that simultaneously displays the present temperature along with the maximum temperature read while scanning an objects surface. For added convenience, this tool has a built-in auto power saving mode that shuts the tool off after 10 seconds of inactivity. It also has a low-battery indicator which lets users known when the battery needs changed in order to eliminate inaccurate readings.
WARNING: Use in other than as intended may cause instrument damage or serious personal injury. This is NOT a medical-grade instrument.
