This 9V Carbon Monoxide Alarm from First Alert utilizes an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide hazards and provide peace of mind in homes. Since carbon monoxide can’t be seen, smelled or tasted in the air, it is a leading cause of accidental poisoning deaths in America. This CO detector is battery operated which makes it portable and reliable, even in the event of a power outage. When carbon monoxide levels become elevated, a loud 85-decibel alarm alerts you to the threat. When the battery is low, a light and alarm will alert you that the battery power is running low.
To install: Simply insert the battery and the CO detector will start to monitor the space for carbon monoxide threats. There are no complicated displays or settings to navigate before use. Plus, a single button silences the alarm and test the detector. When the alarm is at the end of its life, a light and alarm will let you know that the detector should be replaced.
