The Makita 18V LXT® Cordless 5-7/8" Metal Cutting Saw features a BL™ Brushless motor that delivers speed up to 3,900 RPM while the Automatic Speed Change™ technology adjusts cutting speed and torque for optimal performance. The tool provides a large cutting capacity (2-1/4” at 90°) which allows for 2-inch conduit to be cut in a single pass. The BL™ brushless motor technology eliminates carbon brushes which allows the motor to run cooler and optimize battery energy for up to 50% longer run time per charge. At only 13-1/8-inches long and weighing only 6.4-lbs with battery (sold separately), this compact saw is designed to reduce operator fatigue. It is also constructed with a stainless steel base to reduce chip build-up and prevent surface damage. For additional convenience, this tool features soft grip handles, an electric brake for maximum productivity and dual LED lights that illuminate the work surface. This saw is compatible with Makita 5-3/8-inch metal cutting blades and only genuine Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries with Star symbol (sold separately). The tool is ideal for making cuts in metals such as Unistrut®, all thread, channel, conduit, pipe, sheet metal, square tubing, steel and more. Equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, this saw is protected against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. Batteries and chargers are sold separately.
