RedGard Waterproofing & Crack Prevention Membrane is a ready-to-use elastomeric membrane designed for both interior and exterior commercial and residential tile and stone installations. This versatile product can be easily applied with a roller, trowel, or sprayer, creating a continuous moisture barrier with excellent adhesion. It effectively reduces crack transmission in ceramic tile or stone floors, ensuring long-lasting durability. RedGard meets ANSI A118.10 standards for waterproofing membranes and complies with the Uniform Plumbing Code for use as a shower pan liner. It is also listed with IAPMA R & T and ICC-ES ER-6014, confirming its high quality and reliability. This membrane can be used on various surfaces including concrete, cement backer boards, wonderboard, exterior grade plywood (for interior dry areas as crack isolation only), exterior decks, and gypsum drywall. When used as a crack prevention membrane, one gallon covers approximately 110 square feet at a 30 mil thickness when wet. For waterproofing applications, one gallon covers 35 to 40 square feet at a 93 mil thickness when wet (47 mil dry). Additionally, it can serve as a slab-on-grade moisture barrier under resilient flooring, with specific installation instructions available in the technical bulletin for the E-Cap moisture barrier system.
