Laguna SuperMax 25-50 Drum Sander is the largest open-ended drum sander available, designed to sand 25 inches in a single pass and up to 50 inches in a double pass. This powerful sanding machine not only boosts speed and consistency but also broadens the range of projects you can tackle. Featuring INTELLISAND™ Technology, it automatically adjusts conveyor speed based on the load, preventing gouging, damage, or burning of your stock while delivering a smooth, consistent finish even on varied grain patterns and densities. This technology significantly enhances abrasive planing and dimensioning speed. The sander comes standard with a Closed Mobile Base Stand and an 80 grit sandpaper pre-wrapped drum. It offers easy alignment with a simple one-nut adjustment for the conveyor and indexed settings for narrow and wide stock. The drum carriage is securely bolted to prevent movement, ensuring it never goes out of alignment. The abrasive conveyor belt provides excellent grip on raw wood, and the patented abrasive attachment system keeps the abrasive wraps tight and overlap-free. Fasteners are easily accessible without special tools, and the self-cooling drum extends abrasive life by preventing overheating. Additional features include adjustable height tension rollers and hold-down pressure to eliminate snipe, excellent dust extraction with a metal dust cover shaped to the drum for maximum airflow, and heavy-duty cast iron construction for strength, rigidity, and reduced vibration.
